Congrats to the Red Sox. They were clearly the better team.
Despite tonight’s showing I’m excited about the Card’s future. They have a number of promising young guys that are battled tested. Their rotation for next few years looks incredible. It won’t be easy for the rest of the NL.

I got caught in a rundown in a little league (local) championship game between third and home. They had no idea how to execute a rundown, and just kept tossing between the third baseman and the catcher until one of them missed, and I ran home.
That was the last time I saw a rundown that poorly executed.

My college baseball coach always said if the ball is thrown more than twice in a rundown, you’re already doing it wrong.
