Meh. The bottom line is the Dodgers won, and that means we might get out of SF with a split going into our home opener. ---

Sure but starting season 5-2 would-be great considering we’re so injured that we played a kid who got off the plane during the game he played in. If we can split with the Giants and Dbags through May and then get a healthy team the Dodgers will be in great shape to take on the rest of the season the goal right now is to not get too far behind with the AAA team were fielding. ---

I know that the last game of the series isn’t over yet and it’s early days in a long season still, but I think it’s pretty safe to say that, at least right now, LA and SF are pretty evenly matched. That’s less good for LA than I was hoping for. ---

Can’t say I’m a fan of the Arizona Diamondbacks constant uniform changes. It’s more of a costume than a uniform. ---

And their snakey mascot is just gross. I’m bummed about Schwarber, but I think the team’ll be okay. I nearly cried (happy cry) when Arrieta hit his 440-foot HR yesterday. ---

Weird stats from the Giants opening week: This is not a big power team – probably nobody is going to hit 25 HRs. However, they have 14 after 7 games. Everybody in the Opening Day lineup, including Madison Bumgarner, has gone deep. Bumgarner’s came off Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw has not given up a home run to any other opposing pitcher; Bumgarner has done it twice. In Friday night’s win, the Giants had 2 hits: both home runs. ---

After a week, the Orioles are the only undefeated team in baseball! Woohoo! They beat Boston today on a 9th-inning, 2-out 3-run blast by Chris Davis. ---

Pleasantly surprised by the Reds 5-1 start (and one lousy pitch away from being 6-0…damn JJ Hoover sucks!). First road series starts tonight at Wrigley, so this should give me a general idea if the Reds are going to be competitive against top-level talent or not. ---

I can give you a general idea right now. No, they won’t. Frankly, I’ll be astonished if the Reds don’t lose 100 this year. In the _sixth_ game of the season, they had to call up an emergency starter to make his major league debut. They’ll be delighted to trade Brandon Philips if they can find something he won’t refuse, and should someone come along and make a reasonable offer for Jay Bruce, he’s gone too.
