I’m guessing they’ll get to Doc and Darryl, probably in that order, but why do it all at once when you can spread it out and charge extra for three games instead of just one 😁 Hernandez going first is reasonable, since he’s stayed more or less with the franchise as a broadcaster in the intervening years. ---

Didn’t realize Liriano was still playing. And looking at his baseball reference page, it appears he was not. Last in the league in 2019. Had a couple decent years early in his career and was a remarkably average pitcher for the next decade. ---

Jeff Passan says it will take a miracle deal at this point to not delay spring training. Sounds like the two sides are not all that close. I hope if there is a delay or a shortened season that MLB feels some pain from it. ---

I’ll never believe that Rob Manfred cares one iota about the sport of baseball. If the abolishment of MLB somehow benefitted him he’d do it in an instant. Say what you want about Bud Selig, the guy was far from perfect, but at least he actually liked baseball. ---

You’re right, and since they are still afforded an anti-trust exemption, they should be compelled by law to play this season under the most recent collective bargaining agreement.
