This is what everyone has been waiting to hear: the Reds have now won six out of seven and are now at .500 for the first time since…um…April? I have to thank **Asimovian** , since this streak started by splitting the four game series with his Dodgers. 🙂 ---

Just got back from seeing the sub .250 version of the Nats (which they have been for close to two years now against the Braves and Cards). Looking forward to seeing the .600 version (which they are against everyone else) soon. ---

The Dodgers haven’t been doing so badly themselves of late, so I don’t see why we can’t both benefit. Only 11 more days until I go to see the Dodgers play the Tribe, at which point, I expect my head will explode. ---

In case anybody didn’t see this over the weekend, [the Brewers scored three runs following a Rockies wild pitch](http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article/mlb/wild-pitch-becomes-a-wild-play-at-coors-field?ymd=20140621&content_id=80938380&vkey=news_mlb): the runner on third scores on the wild pitch itself, the next runner scores after the catcher makes a bad throw to the pitcher covering home, and the last runner scores because the pitcher and catcher stopped paying attention. That’s a really heads-up play by Jean Segura. ---

They were talking on the radio this morning about how the Blue Jays have to start proving themselves against the “tough AL East.” I know it’s been a tough division for a long time but it might be time to accept that maybe it isn’t a tough division this year. There’s a _reason_ Toronto is in first place despite going into the year making few improvements to a 73-89 team; it’s a weak division. ---

Read somewhere that the Jays’ current record would’ve been good for fourth place in the division at this point in the season during any of the last four years. Now they’re first place. The Orioles and Yankees certainly aren’t impressing me at this moment. ---
