Crazy. It never even felt like Texas had to worry until the last moment. Even coming up on the last 3 games, it was surprising to notice, huh, Texas hasn’t clinched the division? But surely they won’t get swept, right? ---

By the way, Ichiro has been very good since he came over and I will make the prediction that he will be an important player in the playoffs. ---

I managed to make it to the A’s game today. Absolutely incredible. An early lead, a comeback then blasting past a team that seemed to forget they’re going to the playoffs. Culminating in taking the West. The crowd was fantastic and the energy in that stadium was just amazing. You could tell these players were even having fun, just like they have been all year. Their fun just put them in a really great position in October. ---

When was the last time the Yanks were 2 full games up on the O’s? It seems like they spent most of the last month either tied or no more than a game and a half apart. ---
