Darn. I’ll happily hang my hat on the season the O’s had. They were universally expected to be out of it since, well, before the season even began, and they won 96 games, including 3 playoff games. They knocked off the Rangers and went the distance with the Yankees. I’ll take that. ---

I guess a 6-0 lead in a deciding Game 5 just isn’t worth as much as it used to be, is it? I didn’t really have a horse in this race, but as a Giants fan I’m not at all sad that they won’t have to go back to Washington this year. ---
