I think i’m rooting for the Nats in this series. I quite like the Giants, and my wife is an SF native, but they’ve won it twice in recent years. I’d like to see the Nats have some postseason success. ---

Detroit with 12 runs surrendered in the same inning in two games. I wonder if that’s a playoff record of some kind. ---

Not a pleasant top of the 3rd, but Stras got out of it before it blew up. Still no hits off of Peavy, but the pitch count keeps going up. ETA: Time to leave work and head for home, but have stops to make. Should be home in time for the 7th, though. ---

The bullpen is generally quite good…except for the times when they’re terrible. But Bochy has a history of putting the right pitchers in at the right time in the playoffs, so I’m not too worried on that account. ---

Can both sides agree to just hack at the first pitch? It seems like every at bat goes 8 pitches, and my nerves can’t take it. I’m watching (at work) on [MLB.com](http://MLB.com)’s GameDay application, and they do something annoying (that TV networks are also guilty of) – displaying each batter’s average for the series, instead of the regular season. 90% of the viewers are seeing hitters they aren’t familiar with. Saying that Buster Posey is batting .000 with 0 HR and 0 RBI isn’t telling us a helluva lot. ---

I think that Hunter Strickland is not too bad as a baseball player. ETA: Joe Panik is OK, too. ---
