Where do you even get a hat like that? Holy cow. That makes Carmen Miranda look tasteful. ---

Well, THAT was completely bizarre. Will there be a challenge? ETA: yes. ---

Thank you, postseason, for showing us yet again why the automatic intentional walk is a bad idea. So, what are the rules for a pitcher blocking the plate? Same as the catcher? Has that come up at all in the regular season? ---

That’s now 3 unearned runs for the Giants tonight. We’ll take it. ---

Beach Blanket Babylon is a long-running musical comedy revue in San Francisco with over-the-top costumes (such as that worn by the singer) and topical satire. ---

> [@Rick\_Kitchen](#): > > Beach Blanket Babylon is a long-running musical comedy revue in San Francisco with over-the-top costumes (such as that worn by the singer) and topical satire. I wasn’t really looking for an answer to that last post. It was more of a rhetorical statement for comedic effect. ---

Hey, asshole behind the plate: ask the first-base umpire if he went around. This is too important to get wrong. ---

Giants win. I aged about 32 years over the last week, but it was worth it. ---

Of the 16 postseason games played so far, 11 were either decided by 1 run or went into extra innings. And one of the ‘blowouts’ was a 12-3 game that was 4-3 going to the bottom of the 8th inning. You may or may not be happy with the outcome so far, but nobody can complain that there hasn’t been some damn entertaining baseball played this month. ---

I have both teams to root for in the AL, and I hope the NLCS ends in a draw. Lord, I’m sick of those two teams. ---

Well, that’s the fork stuck in my dodgers. No complaints. We were healthy, and the Cards just beat us. If only we’d had the middle relief this year we’d had last year. It’s amazing how the parts have to come together to get to the Series. Oh well. Go, um Nats?☹ [Previous page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/mlb-post-season/699860.md?page=28) [Next page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/mlb-post-season/699860.md?page=30)
