Well, I’m sure I can come up with little numerical similarities between pretty much any two World Series Game 5s, if you dig deep enough into the boxscore. I just hope we get a good game or two. For the most part, these games have been snoozers. Game 3 was good but not a classic, and everything else has been one-sided. ---

I think “snoozer” is a little too strong. The first two didn’t have much drama, but game 3 was close as you noted. Game 4 ended up a blowout, but only in the later innings; there was drama and momentum swings up to then. Last night’s game was a tight one with some great pitching until the Giants opened it up in the bottom of the 8th. ---

Ken Burns’ _Baseball_ has the story of the end of Game 6 of the 1986 World Series told by Bob Costas. Everything was set up and just waiting for what seemed to be the inevitable conclusion. Champagne ready, plastic on the walls, trophy in the clubhouse, and so on. And we all know what happened next. Everything was gone before Boston could get back. ---

Well that’s it, game over. The final out _ **just** _ happened. An utter annihilation. We’re going to Game 7 tomorrow. Juan Perez needs to start in left instead of NLCS hero Ishikawa. Should Bumgarner start? I don’t see why not. ---
