There used to be 1 game playoffs in baseball. Now 3 is the minimum. And in the post-Playoff season it’s always a best of 7 series. ---

The World Series is part of the playoffs. I have never before this thread heard anyone refer to it as “post-Playoffs.” (And there actually were a few World Series that were best-of-nine about a hundred years ago.) ---

I was a little puzzled by the crowd noise since it was a very pro Diamondback home crowd. Yes there was quite a few Rangers fans there but not enough to make me hear the crowd roar and go crazy after the last out. Suspicious I googled it and sure enough, the MLB has been using artificial crowd noise for the past 3-4 years. So lame when the majority of the crowd is looking on silently in disappointment but they pump in the sound of a stadium going berserk. ---
