A new taste treat! [Mackies of Scotland](http://www.mackies.co.uk/potato_crisps/flavours/haggis_cracked_black_pepper.aspx) puts out haggis and cracked black pepper potato chips! (or crisps, if you prefer) Bought a bag last night while grocery shopping; was crunching away on them when I came home. Mrs Piper tried one and said, “They really do taste like haggis!” ---

They’re great, aren’t they? Mackie’s crisps are all good though. I see from the website they are doing a limited-edition Scotch Bonnet Chilli flavour, so I’ll need to keep an eye out for those. ---

I’ve only seen them in one store, but now that I’ve discovered them, I’ll keep an eye out for them. Scotch bonnet chips sounds a bit hot for me, though. ---

Not a chain or anything - they’re just interested in bringing in new or different things to try. I’m impressed that they are available in Canada, as the business is basically just two family-run farms, one in Aberdeenshire and the other in Perthshire. They also make really nice ice-cream. I had just supposed they were a fairly local thing. (I don’t work for them!) ---

My sister picked up a bag of these for me as I like odd flavors. She got them at Fresh Market here in Ky. I rather liked them. If real haggis tastes like that then I might just try it someday. ---
