CoH now has “buddy codes” These are different than trial codes in that not only do you get the 10-day free trial, but you also get access to start a non-trial account.

In other words you do not have to buy another licence to get a full account. I think this is for the Hero Side only. It’s still a pretty big savings.

Update time:

Two subscriptions to City of Heroes later, I’ve got a lv10 Tanker on Virtue and she’s got a lv5 Mastermind on Protector, with appropriate supporting casts in the form of each other’s respective Blaster and whatever-the-hell-the-villain-tank-type is.

The villain tank type is the Mastermind. The Brute is CoV’s equivalent of the scrapper or blaster. Hard and fast. The best support for a Mastermind is a good Corrupter.
