I am still sick too. ☹ I think \*\*welby \*\*gave me his sinus thing! Bleh. The cold I’ve had all week seems to have migrated into my sinuses. (Can colds do that??) I couldn’t sleep last night so of course after breakfast I went back to sleep and slept from 8:30 to 11! Why is it easier to sleep in the daylight than at night sometimes?? I’m one of the never-have-insomnia types so it seems very weird to me. But now I’m at work because I felt too guilty to take the day off. I can’t take a day off without being eaten by guilt. ☹ Why did my parents instill this Puritanical work ethic in me?? Gah! ---

Oh and thoughts and good wishes for **FCD**. I’m so sorry to hear he’s still in pain. That’s really hard to watch a loved one go through. Hope he feels better soon, **FCM**! I’m just about to order my wedding gown. It’s the same one I’ve been looking at for a couple months. I finally decided to just go with ordering it online. It’s the right size based on the measurments, and it can be altered once I get it. So I’m going with it! I’m so excited and scared at the same time! The whole wedding thing is pretty nerve wracking, but exciting too. Maybe if I got the job/moving thing out of the way, the wedding thing would be easier to focus on. Or maybe if I were healthy, the whole thing would seem a lot easier! ---

Man, efficiency has struck again! I just washed both of our vehicles, and swapped their spots in the garage, since I’ll be driving the Jetta for the next few weeks. I’ve also done 3 loads of laundry and a dishwasher load. I’ve got a chicken thawing for rotissing - even if the patient isn’t hungry, rotissed chickie is good leftover. I need to work on getting fluids into him. I’m about to head back with a popsicle. Wish me luck!! 😃 ---

**FCM** , where in Og’s name do you get all this efficiency? More importantly, how do I get some for myself? It’s uncanny the way you blitz through entropy’s defensive lines and score touchdown after touchdown in the name of productivity. (A little echo of the Superbowl there, just for you.) I didn’t go to class at all today. Six hours, three classes, whoosh! My excuse is that I went to the Career Fair Part Deux, which was foolishly scheduled from 10 am to 2 pm today, right when most people have class. Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab was there, and I’m very excited about possibly working for them this summer. That in mind, I’m off to do the online resume/application thing. ---

The campus in Baltimore (or is it Laurel??) - anyway, **FCD** works with them from time to time, and it’s just over an hour from where we live. So you might be a temporary MAD?? That would be cool beans, as well as an excuse for a DopeFest! ---

I had a second-round interview at Harvard yesterday, with the hiring manager’s boss. I met with both of them for round one two weeks ago, and big-boss wasn’t as enamored as little-boss, so little-boss set up a one-on-one for me with big-boss to give me a chance to win him over. I did. I’ve got a thums up from big-boss now (he said I seemed a little uptight in the first interview, and wrote it off to nerves, but was also concerned that I am willing to leave my current position - a _great job_ to go work for Harvard). Evidently, a simple desire to work for Harvard wasn’t enough in his eyes, so I cited “work/life balance issues” with the current position, and told him being a big fish in a small pond isn’t all it’s cracked up to be (true and true). Hah! We’ve got you sucked in! And you make all of us look smart! You and **rigs** and **Spats** , the educated-or-being-educated-or-abou-to-be-educated-ones. I have an important announcement- Mr. Lissar just cooked an excellent fritatta, with instruction from me. It was roasted pepper, cheddar, and garlic, and it turned out beautifully. The cooking lessons are progressing. He also swept and vacuumed, but he’s going to Driving Husband’s martial arts class to get the crap beaten out of him, so I’ll do the mopping. Driving Husband does Russian Special Forces fighting. I’m going to mop, and then loaf. I’ve got the chocolate and the tea, and two purring kitties. ---
