It’s a mid-week weekend! One of the other managers was out sick tihs weekend, so my days off got switched around. 2 glorious days off in a row. Maggie has been having problems leaping on to the bed, so I bought her a set of pet stairs. When i tried to get her to use them, she ignored them and clawed her way up the side of the bed. I think this dog is the mascot of the Midvale School for the Gifted. **FCM** I agree with **swampy**. Ice, rest and ibuprofen(See if your doctor will give you a precription for the 650mg ibuprofen, it rocks for tendenitis.) **Drae** good luck with the [cat scan](http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e260/dogbutler/Toons/photo1Copy12.jpg)! It’s the annual start of summer pool party and drunken baccahanal at the swampcave this Saturday. It’s a bring your own libations party. Food provided. Burgers and dogs cause, well, it only seems right to start the summer with grilled up burgers and dogs. Prolly some beer brats as well. A friend is bringing potato salad cause he makes good tater ( **N.O.T.** ) salad. ACBG is making baked beans cause I told him to. Dessert will be ice cold watermelon. No glass at the pool. I wonder who’ll be the first person I’ll have to say that to, even though _everybody_ knows it already. Anybody wanna take bets it’ll rain? ---

Memorial Day? What? 'Zat some special day or something? 😛 I have no idea what I’ll be doing. Probably lounging around. Friday night is prom at the high school a lot of our friends have kids in. The prom is at the local golf course/huge banquet hall, so (I can’t believe this part…), all the parents go down to the grill at the course and stay there while the prom is going on. Yeah, and the kids all come down and parade themselves in front of their folks. man, if my folks did that at my prom, I’d probably have run away from home! The rest of the weekend is basically a coookout Saturday, then a couple days of restfully puttering around the house and yard. Fun stuff, huh? ---

It seems I have MMP new-kid performance anxiety, complete with imaginary typos. But I’m trying… No big Memorial Day plans here. Probably won’t get too much more exciting than working in the garden. I think I’ll have a Flag Day party instead. Less pressure. I like to keep things simple. Who cares if it rains on Flag Day? Vegas sounds like fun, though. It’s the best airport to be in if your flight is delayed – you can play the slot machines the whole time! ---

Memorial Day weekend plans call for us to STAY HOME and BBQ. I don’t want to go anywhere or do anything…PERIOD. I am exhausted and sick of going out. If the weather cooperates, we’ll putz around the yard. We’re also turning over the idea of steam cleaning our carpets. They’re very dirty and desperately need it. When I say “we”, that means ME, by the way, as far as steam cleaning goes. I only just arrived to work about half an hour ago. I had to take my daughter to a thingy for her job shadow. Now, I have to dash off to a meeting. Hugs and good health wishes to everyone here who needs them!
