So, I was just thinking that I could really use some chocolate. A coworker was selling chocolate for her daughter last week, maybe that’s where I could score some. Turns out she only had mint chocolate left, but beggars can’t be choosers, so I’ll take it. Or I would … _if I had my wallet_. I switched purses this morning to better accomodate the larger book I was reading, and I seem to have forgotten to transfer something. Here’s hoping I’m not hungry at lunch. :eek: I guess I _won’t_ go buy those bookcases before I go home … ---

I managed to defy the Costco Cover Charge once by getting out of there for $5.99. They were out of whatever we really went there for, but thought “One of those roto-chickens would be good for dinner” so that’s all we bought. During Faire time, I’m a Power Shopper that blasts though every Friday at about noon and grabs two flats each of croissants, danish and assorted muffins, two loaves of bread, one 15-dozen carton of eggs and a tub of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Petroleum-Based Butter-Like Spread. Strangely, it’s cheaper to get the hash browns and sausage links at Smart & Final. I was in and out with that list one memorable day in under fifteen minutes. Didn’t hurt that I had a cart that made a hellacious rattle alerting people that I was bearing down hard on them, so they sensibly feared for their lives and moved to the other side of the building. I should have had a cover charge for a party on Saturday. We crammed about 35 people into our house. One fellow that came had given up drinking in deference to diabetes, so he cleared out anything alcoholic from his house and brought it over. Quite a collection of oddball wines and spirits. Unfortunately, it seems they didin’t all get stored in optimal conditions - I tried a bottle from 1993 and was greeted with vinegar. Something else from 2002 had already crossed into “just nasty” territory. :sad: Another 2002 was OK, so it’s going to be a crapshoot each time I pull a cork. ---

Bailey’s Irish Creme crosses into just nasty territory because it exists. ICK! **DR** if it curdled your coffee, that’s just scary! :eek: If it had curdled and wheyed your coffee, I’d suggest sitting on a tuffet and drinking it til you see a spider. ---

Are you having trouble with pot marks? I can get out most with Bon-Ami (what the manufacturer recommended,) but not all of them. I wondered if you found a magic cleaner or sumpin.
