Hugs to all. Random question: Does this sound odd? “Ottawa is the capital province.” In the sense that it’s got the capital in it. I’m rereading a line in my story and it sounds funny (neither Ottawa, nor Canada are involved, but it’s easier than explaining). In other news, I really with I had a shrink friend that could beta read this story and point out all the things I’m doing very very wrong (which I’m sure is a lot). I do have a friend that’s a social worker in a mental hospital, but I’m uncomfortable having him read my stuff for some reason. ---

I had a major meltdown when his sister-in-law called to check up on me today but after that it seems like the black cloud has backed off somewhat. I just hope that it stays away. I’ve been getting nice messages from his coworkers and relatives that I haven’t met. And if I’m repeating myself, I apologize. I am still a bit scattered. Tomorrow is my next knee appointment. It almost seems inconsequential at this point but I do hope that something will be resolved. I take what has happened very seriously and as a challenge to improve my own health and having a knee that worked properly would certainly help. Love to you all. I really do appreciate everyone in the MMP. ---

A very large (radar showed New Haven to Baltimore) & incredible storm front blew thru earlier. I was watching clouds move & change shape like a time lapse video. It took the power to the development. I’m bored! There’s still just enough lightning that I’m not taking OBL out for a walk. So I’m learning to “type” by finger-sliding across the keyboard on my new mobile phone. Why are they “cell” phones in the US but “mobile” phones internationally? ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 74 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of _only_ 92! Well, brrrrrrr!!! Also a stormfront came through a couple of hours ago with much rain and lightnin’. Lots o’ lightnin’. Wake da bear up lightnin’ even and that ain’t an easy thing to do. **StickyBuns** glad you’re feelin’ a little better. Hope the knee appointment goes well and it all gets figured out soonest. Ima go get my self purtified for irk now cause OYKW and I are meetin’ up at IHOP. I got a coupon for a free brekkie because my bday is this weekend. I want pancakes. With strawberry syrup and a ball of vanilla ice cream and one of no-sugar-added real whipped cream, and then another one with maple syrup. Damn. Someday I need to learn to make pancakes, it’s not like it’s difficult. We’re having paella for lunch today, courtesy of the project. It’s nice to get free food, but it’s going to be pretty late: our usual lunch hour is 1pm, this is supposed to start at 2:30pm. My car is already parked back of the restaurant, I’m heading home as soon as we’re done with lunch… No, redhead, I don’t mean done with you. I want pancakes dammit ---

We started our day with breakfast in Leonardtown and a trek to Dyson’s Lumber in Great Mills. \*\*FCD \*\*needed some fancy-pants plywood for a work project. They’ve got a $1 bargain tent and there was a pile of bins in there that had belonged to a mushroom farm. They weren’t in perfect condition, but for a buck apiece, they were great! I got 10 for my studio - they’ll make great drying racks, and \*\*FCD \*\*got 6 for his shop. I spent about an hour pressure washing them, and they look great! I’m still soggy, but as warm as it is, the damp clothes feel good! Shortly, I will descend to my studio and start decorating my creations. With luck, on Tues or Weds, I’ll be able to run a kilnload. Then I can deliver to the store on Thurs or Fri. Happy Firday, all!!! ---

In other amusement, I asked on a writing research forum for some psychology terms and they keep offering diagnoses, and I keep going ‘that’s nice, thanks, but I specifically didn’t ask for diagnoses because I left a whole lot of details out of the OP because I didn’t need them for the question I actually asked.’ I finally broke down and emailed my friend of mine who is, I believe, a social worker at a mental hospital (I know where, I’m just not sure of his job). He’s not familiar with the genre; I think that’s why I feel weird asking him. ---

Mrs. Plant v.3.0 and I had dinner at [Mr. Chen’s](http://www.arktimes.com/arkansas/mr-chens-cheap-fast-and-delicious/Content?oid=2322025), highly touted in the Arkansas Times. It was outstanding. I had pineapple shrimp, both lightly tempuraed with a cocoanut milk sauce. Outstanding! The dumplings were great, too. Better than mine. I must practice. ---

Another odd usage question. Your parents have the same career, let’s say chemistry. One of your parents is dead. Do you say ‘my parents are chemists’ or ‘my parents were chemists’?
