It hurts about a 2 on a scale of 1-10. **Rigs** is probably right about the smaller the boob the more it hurts. The worst part is stretching your underarm “meat” on there. It doesn’t take but about a minute per picture though. I think the anxiety is worse than the actual _doing_ of anything unfamiliar. You can do it! ---

It is amazing how someone dipping (the tobacco thing) instantly makes a man unattractive. I have one dealbreaker. Chewing tobacco is it. Ugh. ---

But it’s never taken more than a few seconds per picture. Unfortunately, there are 4 to be done, 2 per side. I’ve found that consciously relaxing (oh yeah, it’s as easy as it sounds… :rolleyes: ) does help me somewhat. I’ve been having these done annually for 12 years (next one scheduled next month) and while it’s not my favorite thing, I’m thinking breast cancer would be worse. In fact, the wife of my first boyfriend (he wasn’t married way back then…) is going thru chemo right now. She had breast cancer, had a mastectomy, but unfortunately, the cancer had made its way to her brain. The best they can hope now is to ease the symptoms… ☹ So get yer tits squished, dammit! Yer welcome! ---

Well, I enjoy cooking. And I work part-time, so I’m 60% housewife. Also, our place is a one-bedroom apartment, so when I set out to clean, there’s not that much actual space to clean. It works out that me cleaning my whole kitchen takes about an hour of scrubbing. Not that bad. In other news, I just ate three soft tacos I made out of the pulled pork I cooked yesterday, on homemade tortillas. That was really really yummy. The tortillas are about five inches across, so they don’t hold much. Next time we’ll do bigger ones. ---

What would I do without all of my MMP mommies, huh? 🙂 After reading your replies to my question, I’m just so looking forward to getting my boobies smushed! Yeah, right! :rolleyes: I do understand the need for it, and of course being all proactive and what not is good for avoiding cancer, I just hate, hate, hate going to the doctor. It’s totally unreasonable and illogical, I know; but there you have it. I can attest to the strength and warmth of a famous **Swampy** hug. Of course, when I met him, I probably just about knocked him over with my hug! 😃 I think I scared him and poor **Bumba** to death. They probably thought I was a weird stalker or something. ---

Wow-I just took a small nap. I feel disembodied, but better. I think I’m coming down with something. I was here, posting and frolicking away, and my whole body said, “go lay down”. So I did. A 2?!? A 2 out of 10?!? Ha! More like a 7. Denser breast tissue is more painful, so younger, ahem, perkier women (ya READ that, **rifty**?) do have more pain–except for this one Stepford I mean, nice woman I know who went for her first one last fall. She had been told it was like someone closing a garage door on your girlie bits, and she said she didn’t even notice the glass thingy. Well, I dunno bout the garage door and all, but you’d have to be comatose to not be aware of the vice thingy. Perhaps she IS animatronic…she IS a statuesque blonde. Hmmm. **Lissla** --I am now confusing you with **FCM** --the two of you are so domestically industrious, I can only sit in awe. I was proud that I mopped the kitchen floor yesterday. To me, housework is like the Special Olympics: lots of ecouragement is needed, goal may or may not be achieved, participants are working as hard as they can, with iffy results, often. ANYONE chewing tobacco here will suffer my disdain for all time. That is all. oh, and Goldie Hawn is Kewl incarnate. I should be so lucky when I get there… ---

I’m back. I know I haven’t been posting much the last couple of days. Been very out of it and very busy. On that subject, you would think that the girl I was all set to ask out today would have the decency to not skip the one class I have with her. The nerve of some people. I _could_ send her an email, but that seems the wrong setting. I don’t know. There’s an excellent likelihood I won’t otherwise get a chance to communicate with her at all until Monday’s class (assuming she goes to that one). What do you all think? Would an email asking if she’d like to go to the play with me be inappropriate? **rigs** , good going on the application. I just had an interesting development in that area myself. It seems the University of Amsterdam wants certified copies of my diploma and final transcript before my admission could become definite. But those aren’t available until May. Maybe it’s customary over there for students to get a physics-related job or internship for a year after graduating before going to grad school, because I can’t see any other reason for a February 15 deadline if you’re going to require materials that aren’t available until May. What really bothers me is if I’m not going to know what Amsterdam’s decision is until, say, June, I might have to make decisions about the other schools before then. I don’t want to turn down all the other schools that let me in only to find out that Amsterdam won’t take me after all. I’m going to have to consult with my professor about this.
