That’s crap–if they’re not going to hire someone, then you’re responsibioities AND money need to change, pronto. Ya know, it is common in hospitals to really cut housekeeping on off shifts. This leaves the nurses and aides in a quandry at times. So, they end up doing it(cleaning up vomit, blood etc), which can and does delay pt care, often. But here is my point: which is cheaper (corporately speaking), the housekeeper or the nurse? Duh. So, hire some more effing housekeepers! Same principle with the receptionist–an job with entry level written all over it. Can’t they hire a college student, even part time? Half days would be better than nothing, no? Feel your pain, **Draelin** --that sucks. ---

To get rid of the feet smell? Go get a Rug Doctor and shampoo it! You could probably get around offending le roommate if you do the whole room instead of just singling out the rug. ---

I have found my silver lining–I just mentioned to my boss that as a result of my new responsibilities, I will _not_ be able to learn to run the Returns department and cover when Lisa goes on her honeymoon in April. That’s something, at least. This may be another one of those days when I need to go buy myself something frivolous at lunch. I never did get those impractical shoes, but I think today’s a solid DVD day. Somehow the list of things I _was_ going to run out for at lunch (cat litter, cigarettes, and eyeliner) now seems less important. ---

I’ve had worse, much worse. I’m not being a baby, I just don’t see a point in spending a lot of money to pay a doctor to treat a tiny wound when he will most likely do the same thing I am going to do, clean it and apply an antibiotic. I have seen doctors for previous bites and it’s always the same. Even after treatment by a doctor those wounds still got infected and I had to clean them myself anyway. Seriously, if I really thought I had flesh-eating disease I wouldn’t have posted about it because I would have been at the hospital. I was just pointing out how you should not read about bad diseases as it makes you paranoid. ---

Don’t all med school students self-diagnose with the worst diseases that they’re studying? I remember my history of science prof said he was sure he had a very obscure form of cancer and some disease you only get from Australian lizards, or something. Moral: don’t read about exotic diseases. ---

OK, I have nothing on-topic to add. But it’s the MMP so who cares? I just want to reiterate that I hate hate hate the job search process. I’m sending out resumes right and left but no one’s calling me. And every time I think about or read tips on the interviewing process, I start to hyperventilate. Someone just give me a job!! ---

**Rue** , as a pet owner who needed to have a cat’s butt tended to (although it was the vet who did it) I want to thank you for your professionalism. And remind you to wash your hands. A lot! 😃 Murray is not happy with me - I can tell. I replaced the kibble she likes with the kibble that’s better for her. And I reduced the serving size, since I noticed she’s getting chunky. I expect her to try to claw my head as I sleep. If I don’t check in tomorrow, it probably means I’m in intensive care with my skull covered with band aids. Feel free to send medicinal chocolates… ---

Hope she doesn’t like to give you kisses after she has one of her “snacks”. That being said, my dog tried that a couple of times too when we first got him.
