Today is laundry, then kitchen cleaning, then work for six hours. Then I come home and collapse until tomorrow’s all day Sew-A-Thon. I think I should eat ice cream for lunch. I deserve it. ---

Oh, and [gt], we finished _Firefly_ on Monday, and I’m all sad. It’s over! On the other hand I’ve just got three more people hooked on it by lending them the disks. ---

The beautiful thing about that show is you never get tired of the fifteen episodes you have. I could watch “Jaynestown” every day and never stop laughing at the _look_ on Simon’s face when he sees that statue. 🙂 ---

There was (maybe still is) one of those places along I75 in Cordele, GA. They used to have a big billboard that said **“We’re Butt Naked!”** just before the exit but the billboard went away, that’s why I’m not sure if the place is still there or not. Anyways, anybody coming down I75 to the swampcave got directions that said “take the second exit after the butt naked sign” for a couple of years before it went away. I just loved giving those directions. ---

I’m DONE! And I’m home, back in Jersey. Coming home always just _feels_ right. I look at some of my friends, who don’t have much of a home to go back to, and apart from feeling bad for them, I always realize how grateful I am to have a family like I do. 😃 But yeah, last night I took my last final. It was for my graduate physics course, Methods of Theoretical Physics, where we were each given a small box of Lindt truffles. And at the conclusion of the test, a group of about a dozen virile 20something male physics students walked out of the room in a daze, the realization slowly dawning on their faces that they had all been brutally and viciously raped by a diminutive middle aged female physics professor. I think my classmate said it best. “Someone just fucked me in the ass and then gave me a box of chocolates. I must be a cheerleader.” Fortunately my other 4 classes are confirmed As, so a B in this course (which I’m still thinking I have) won’t kill me. ---

It was really special. Now that home is long ago sold and the folks are in assisted living and they come to my house. Enjoy it while you can! 🙂 ---

One of the places I interviewed with around Veteran’s Day gave me an offer, contingent on the successful re-competition of their contract with the Coast Guard. Change of plans - let’s hear it for spontaneity! **FCD** called this afternoon and told me his boss is giving him Thursday off. My supervisor had just left, but I’ve got leave on the books and nothing critical in my In box, so I left a note to Cathy, edited my time card, and left till next week. Tomorrow, I have blood drawn and wait for the furnace guy, and pack. We talked about leaving tomorrow night, but I’m going to suggest we just get up early on Thurs and drive straight thru. It’ll safe us the cost of a hotel at the very least. So I’ll be posting a bit tomorrow, then probably not again till the 28th. Try not to miss me! I’d give you my cell number, but I can’t have all those traumatic, tearful calls all hours of the night. 😃 ---

Should be one short paragrahp, just like Bobbio. And sign it. And keep a copy! ---

We discussed putting in the reasons, saying that she enjoyed working there, etrc etc, but in the end went with Name Today’s Date Address Dear Boss-Who-Keeps-Cutting-My-Hours-and Giving-Me-The Worst-Shifts {okay, we used her real name}; This is written notice that I am leaving your employment. My last day of work will be (date two weeks from today.) Signed, Sean’s GF On review, pretty much the same as **Bob** ’s. Have a good trip, **FCM.** I’m guessing 10-1/4 hours on the road for your trip. (What, we did start a betting pool on how long they’ll take to get to Ocala, right?)
