Does anyone have a list of mockumentaries–that genre of movies that are made to look like documentaries? Some examples: Spinal Tap Blair Witch Project Waiting for Guffman Bob Roberts ---

Well, I typed “mockumentary” in Google and I got 739 hits, so the’re there. If, on the other hand, you want us to supply you with titles, well here’s one [The Canadian Conspiracy](http://www.hollywood.com/movies/detail/movie/243725) ---

Here’s a list from a Spinal Tap website. Many are repeats from earlier posts: People Like Us Man Bites Dog Still Crazy Real Life Forgotten Silver Living in Oblivion Take the Money and Run Bad News Tour Best in Show The Rutles And God Spoke Waiting for Guffman CB4: The Movie Bob Roberts Project Grizzly Where’s Marlowe Leningrad Cowboys Go America Hard Core Logo Dill Scallion Fear of a Black Hat The Specials The Last Polka Fozzy I haven’t seen most of these so I can’t personally speak to the “mockumentary” value. Of the ones I have seen, the best is no doubt that one with Christopher Guest. ---

This is weird. I just finished watching _The Specials_ (a pretty obscure movie) and then go online. I come to the SDMB and the most recent post in the first thread I open mentions the movie. ---

Aw, man, _Man Bites Dog_ is awesome. I almost forgot about that movie. It’s a fairly recent (1990s) black and white film in French (but I think it may be Belgian.) It’s basically a few days in the life of a serial killer. This movie is beautiful, raw, black comedy. If you have a dark sense of humor, this movie is for you.
