A moderator must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law, or becomes inconvenient to a Poster. ---

I refuse to miss our emeritus moderators, because I fully expect them to be around, but I really am grateful for the excellent and generous work they’ve put into the SDMB.
