A friend of mine is auctioning off an 18-inch spaceship miniature that appeared in Paul Verhoeven’s _Starship Troopers_. Knowing that many Dopers like (or hate) that film, I thought some might be interested in [checking it out](https://www.icollector.com/Starship-Troopers-original-screen-used-Rodger-Young-miniature_i35088726). The auction starts on Dec. 19.
Since I got in a little trouble [last time](https://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=870407)I mentioned something like this, let me be clear that I have no stake in this auction, and my friend (who was the miniature unit production supervisor on the film) doesn’t even know I’m posting this. I’m just providing the information for the benefit of any _Starship Troopers_ (or general movie memorabilia) fans. (The mods have approved this post.)
