Mods take a lot of flak for their moderating. From me along with others. But this was needed. Thanks **Ellen Cherry** for shutting down [this nightmare high jack](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=603528) starting with post #48. I approve this thread locking. ---

I’ll second both of these thanks. I’ve gotten on **tom’s** case before, but in this case I think it was the right call–and **Ellen** , definitely the right call. ---

I would say that Tom closing down the [Give me your 9/11 conspiracy theories! And/or their debunking](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=518232&page=25) thread certainly gets the XT Seal of Approval(All Rights Reserved), but sadly I fear this would backfire, as Mods vie with each other to never receive said seal again… -XT ---

As a followup to my previous post, I also want to thank the mods for closing [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=602177) and [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=634886) thread…especially the first seemingly endless one by FXM.
