Who moderates the moderators? If it appears that a moderator is not performing his/her tasks appropiately (that is, biased banning of posters, locking or removal of threads, etc). Does Arnold get out the whip and chair? ---

Not me, I am only an egg (i.e. an admin newbie.) I guess that the senior people like TubaDiva, C K Dexter Haven, Lynn Bodoni etc… would confer with the other moderators and Ed Zotti and tell the offending staff member “shape up or ship out.” ---

I know moderators get some special forums that we don’t where they discuss whipping & chaining users, but I wonder if Administrators have such a forum where they discuss moderators? ---

It could be done, given the vBB capabilities – over on the Pizza Parlor we have one forum locked so that _nobody_, staff or not, can see it (long and sad story, not worth going into here). For a while, only a few of us who had Admin. privileges could see a moribund forum where the Founding Fathers of the board discussed and debated what their agreement on “board theology” was gonna be. But in the rare event that a moderator gets too feisty and needs to be taken in hand, my assumption is that the Admins. would exchange e-mails and come to a consensus on how to handle it. Some of us old-timers can recall a tragic incident when exactly that was probably done. ---
