In [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=260303) in this forum, I mentioned that there were fewer moderators than usual and opined that adding a new forum might not be the best idea. All right, I didn’t mention it, but I sort of implied it. Are we short of moderators here? If so, I can think of about half a dozen I’d like to nominate. ---

If my experience on message boards has taught me anything, it is that there are never enough moderators, between the trolls, the idiots, the Stupid Questioners, the hotheads, the dewy-eyed innocents, the newbies… Oh, yeah, and all moderators are either nazis or they aren’t doing their jobs. There is no middle ground. 😉 ---

To answer a joke seriously, I don’t think anyone would be surprised or care if a short, less-than-one page thread was primarily visited by the same group of four or five people. At the 40 page level, however, it does seem a legitimate issue. Note: I use 40 because it’s a magic number in the Bible, representing generational change. Any seeming relationship to any current thread, living or dead or merged, is purely coincidental. ---

Yeah, **xash** , cause the moderator’s wages there are so much lower than moderator’s wages in the U.S. Half, maybe. Even 1/10th. ---

I actually have a half-cup. It’s a novelty item, and it looks like someone sliced a coffee cup in two, vertically, and added a straight side to it. It has the slogan “Half a cup for half a night’s sleep” imprinted. On the subject of height, I’m a little over 5 feet. I used to be 5’1.5", but I’ve shrunk. Now I just carry a staff nearly as tall as I am, in case someone makes short jokes. ---

Huh. I had seen someone post about you getting short with them but I had taken it as a mere figure of speech. Thanks for clearing that up. As for your staff, will it swallow up the staffs of the other magic practicing priests (i.e. mods)? I used to have a staff, but I had to fire them. Bunch of lazy no goods, I’ll tell you whut! * * * btw, in case anyone is seriously humour impaired… 😛 😃 ---
