# Modern Family, May 8, 2013 -- "My Hero"

I actually liked this episode. Claire’s monologue while one skates was a very impressive scene. The Gloria/Phil part was the weakest part for me. Also I think Luke hammed it up a bit too much which is uncharacteristic. Also, my favorite “butch cam” reveal was that he played guard for Iowa.

The first time I saw the show, I wondered what Mitch saw in Cam. That assessment has gradually been reversing itself.

And why no mention of Phil sans pants? Leave it to Gloria to publicly pants him.

Loved the premise of the old roller rink as an episode, and the visuals of Claire and Phil smookth skating and Claire’s muscle memory behind the counter. But for me there were no laugh-out-loud memorable quotes from this one, which was unusual. Even the lamer episodes have certain lines that I find hilarious.
