That’s all that I was alluding to…

Yes, you’re right. There would be.

In any event, most Jews are of the opinion that the messiah must come BEFORE the rebuilding of the Temple, so if this destruction happens without the messiah coming, then there probably won’t be a new Jewish Temple right away.

> There is, however, a Scriptural precept to keep Passover in the spring. As a result, the calendar is set up in such a way that in 7 out of every 19 years, an extra month is added to the calendar right before Passover, thus keeping the Jewish calendar pretty much in sync with the solar calendar. \*\*

It also pushes Succos into October, so we can spend nights in the Succah when the temperature falls into the 30’s. ;j

On another message board called “the Pizza Parlor”, someone mentioned meeting a modern Saducee, and, while I can’t vouch for that person’s acquaintance having had Saducee ancestors going back two thousand years, I will say that what this person claimed to believe is in line with what I know about the Saducees.

I know that, while they’re not Saducees, there’s a group called the Karaitim, who still exist, who believe a lot of the things the Saducees used to believe, reject mainstream Judaism, which they call “rabbanism”, and reject the Talmud.
