It would seem that we have received clarification from the administration. At a guess, I suspect that [this final post in **GD**](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=5002121#post5002121), subsequent, as it was, to [this admonition](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=4975374#post4975374) may have played a part in the decision. ---
