I know the search function has been pruned, but I know of a workaround (which, while it’s fairly obvious, I won’t explicitly go into the details of here), which would enable me to search across all forums etc like we used to. Will I get into trouble for doing that (Assuming it’s traceable)? ---

I don’t think they would actually be able to detect it; the method I have in mind would only show up as normal usage in any logging or tracking feature of the board 9it doesn’t involve hacking or anything). In any case, I suppose it’s to be avoided because of the _effect_ - the search function was pruned to improve the performance of the board software, it would be morally wrong to inconvenience other dopers. ---
