There is all manner of bad behavior which is not trolling, narrowly defined. Expecting moderators to handle all of that bad behavior is not reasonable, not that anyone is arguing that extreme position. In other words, this is partly a matter of calibration. It has been argued here (other threads, years ago) that the mods deal with trolls too slowly. That’s not what this OP is about. ---

It really doesn’t though. The topic can be completely without merit and still warrant moderation to keep discussion on topic. I’m not saying this thread is without merit, but illustrating how the inferences and suppositions you’ve drawn are erroneous. ---
