Speaking of pickled onions, did you know you can make creamed onions with those instead of regular pearl onions? My sister discovered that when she couldn’t find pearl onions for our pre-thanksgiving dinner last week. Just the thing when you’re trying to prank your creamed onion loving relatives. And a Gibson is just a Martini with an onion instead of an olive. ---

You’re giving them a lot of credit they may not deserve. I test drove a car like that without being told about that feature. When I came to my first stop sign, I could feel it “stall”. I say “stall”, because that’s exactly what it felt like. When he explained the feature to me, I immediately asked, “Can that be disabled?!” He said yes, but you have to do it every time you first start it. Poutine comes from Quebeckistan, a colony inhabited by Frenchmen that Canada has owned since 1759. It is geographically attached to Canada but, aside from the fabrication of poutine, it is only notable for the fact that the inhabitants speak English with a comical accent. As for Caesars, any nutritionist will tell you that vegetables and fish are vital to good health, and Caesars contain both. Also vital to good health is a cheerful mental disposition and a positive outlook on life. The Caesar does that, too. I would also note in passing that the life expectancy in Canada is significantly higher than in the US **([true!](https://www.statista.com/statistics/274513/life-expectancy-in-north-america/)**). It might be premature to attribute that to the health-giving qualities of the glorious Caesar, but I wouldn’t rule it out. ---

Did everybody see that Artemis I has finally launched? I mean, I remember way back in the day when they’d come and take all the classes in grade school to the multipurpose room, and wheel in a TV on a stand, and turn it on so we could watch the identification screen and listen to Hugo Winterhalter’s _Canadian Sunset_ until we finally got to go to Cape Canaveral and sit for indefinite times waiting to see if and when the rocket would go up. When it did, it was exciting. ---

I completely disagree. I’m in the city. I always wanted a wood stove. When we re-did a small room, I had a little one put in. Despite paying city prices for wood ($600 for 1.5 cords) I love it. Love it. I lived for 20 years in the country, and always talked about putting one in. Don’t know why I waited until we moved to the city. I keep the house at 62 and the room with the wood stove at 75. I tell myself I’m saving money. ---
