the entire _sleepy hollow_ exchange between ichabod and katrina when they’re in the burned-down house. “i think you loved me that day you followed me into the western woods.” and, later: “i curse the day you came to sleepy hollow.” i get so many odd looks when i crack up during that. ---

I just realized that first bit came off rather rude–I’m sorry. It was mock-horror, if that makes any sense. It’s your opinion and you’re entitled to it. I do admit, Ichabod’s tone was rather funny at some points during that scene. ---

[spoiler]_Death to Smoochy_ : Near the end, Rainbow Randolph has just saved Smoochy from being assassinated and has the wind knocked out of him. A cop comes up to him and asks if he’s okay to which he replies “I’m fucked up in general so it’s hard to gauge”. Had me laughing for five minutes straight.[/spoiler] ---

Mission Impossible II. Tom Cruise walks past this burning doorway in slow-motion with doves flapping through the air around him. I was watching it with a friend and we both cracked up. He was trying way too hard to be the action hero. ---

im no adam sandler fan, but that bit where hes talking to the father in law watering the garden (its either carbone off goodfellas or donnas dad off that 70s show). as sandler walks off, “ah shit, now i got water all down myself” and in the waterboy, its only funny bit, where the fonz comes over to dinner. (to kathy bates) “so which part of the snake are we eating mrs (?)?” “well, id say if you was gonna call it anything, id say youre eating its knee.” there seems to be something about sandler films where the funny bits are all down by someone else aside from sandler. big lebowski? “8 year olds dude.” the part in running man where arnie refuses to fire from his helicopter on the innocent women + children and they drag him over the seats: “aaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!” and his face crack me up every time. heh ---

MI:2 The doves thing is kind of a signature for the director John Woo. Jaws The USS Indianapoils speech. Close Encounters When Roy has made the complete modle of Devils Tower and then the news story is on the tv while he is on the phone. I still yell “LOOK AT THE TV!” Big Piano scene. The Fisher King Grand Central Station Waltz Raising Arizona (the whole movie but) The opening of the movie that lays everything out. Moulin Rouge Elephant Love Song medley Sense and Sensibility When Hugh Grant shows up near the end and explains that he isn’t married. Titanic Ship breaks in half-- final sinking. LotR Cave troll fight to the Balrog scene. Moulin Rouge Roxanne Tango The Witches of Eastwick Jack’s speech in the church. (when we make mistakes they call it evil, when God makes mistakes they call it nature. Jungle Book (animated) The Bare Necessities song and the I wanna be like You numbers. Little Mermaid Poor Unfortunate Souls number. many many many more. ---

The part in _Super Troopers_ where Ramahorn is typing on the computer saying, "Enhance . . . enhance . . . enhance . . . " The way he starts out serious, but can’t stop himself from grinning and looking around like, “Hey, I’m making a _Blade Runner_ reference! It’s very clever, right? Someone is going to notice, right? RIGHT?” That cracks me up.
