This is probally not the best post to start my membership here, but I have a serious question. I was wondering how to come up with a half-way sizeable amount of money in a short period of time. You hear stories all the time about people that come up with thousands of dollars almost overnight for one thing or another. I need about $10,000 for misc dealings and it would benefit me to get this kind of money yesterday. I was wondering if there is any method (preferablly legal, although I am open to ideas) to get a few thousand dollars. I am willing to work my ass off for it, but I do not own a house and I have bad credit so a loan doesn’t really help me much. Any ideas? ---

I hear you can make a lot of money in a fairly short time [working on fishing boats in Alaska](http://www.alaskafishjobs.com/). Sounds like you’d work your ass off, but if you’re really willing to do it, you might look into it.
