If I remember right, he had sex with his teacher, who was a nun, or a nun in training… …I always admired him for that. ---

Didn’t he even try his hand at stand-up comedy? I seem to recall seeing him do a routine on The Tonight Show. He was a funny guy. RIP Mongo ---

RIP Mongo. Karras was very good on MNF. > [@Little\_Nemo](#): > > I remember him in _Victor/Victoria_ where he played James Garner’s bodyguard. This too, he was a good straight man in that movie, then surprised me towards the end. ---

> [@echo7tango](#): > > RIP Mongo. Karras was very good on MNF. I remember Karras making one of the funniest comments I ever heard on MNF. The Oakland Raiders were playing and the camera cut to a shot of Otis Sistrunk, who never attended college, sitting on the bench. He had his helmet off and steam was rising from his shaven head. Karras commented, “There’s Otis Sistrunk from the University of Mars.” ETA: [Like this.](http://that70scard.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/mars.jpg) ---

> [@TriPolar](#): > > Karras was also a professional wrestler off season, and portrayed a real wrestler, George Zaharias, in the movie Babe (not the one with the pig), and a fictional wrestler in the movie Mad Bull. One of his best lines from his autobiography was about attending college where he was being paid to play football. He said something like “We called it a scholarship”. Great football player, wrestler, and actor. He will be missed by many. That where Karass met future wife (and Webster co-star) Susan Clark, who played Babe Didrikson Zaharias in the movie. ---
