Eh, I’ve been looking for somebody to Pit, and while **Monkey With a Gun** is really low hanging fruit, WTF, he/she (hereafter called “It”) pissed me off today. It called two of us liars in the same thread, and by implication, most of us who posted to the thread. Okay, it was the Pit, but considering the subject, what a complete idiot. I don’t know how old It is, but I have found Curtis to be far more civil if not necessarily better informed. [The thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=595005) was a rant about claims by theists that atheists aren’t moral. Quite a few of us atheists related personal experiences of being confronted with such accusations and beliefs by theists. It just picked out a couple of key words, and searched for that. As it turns out at least a couple of results of Its search turn out to be relevant, but It denied it because It apparently doesn’t have much of an attention span. It? Hmm. Though I’ve always thought “once in a blew moon” makes more sense. I think a moon that’s just gotten head happens way less often than a blue one. ---

I was involved in that Pit thread (and was right proper PISSED OFF by **Monkey** ’s ignorant shit-spouting), so I endorse this pitting. Did s/he ever come back after being so thoroughly thrashed by counterevidence? I shall have to go check. ---

As one of the participants in that thread who was indirectly accused of lying about things that my own parents have said to me, I endorse this pitting as well. Apparently, in **Monkey’s** mind, if he/she didn’t directly observe or experience it, it doesn’t exist. ---

Mr. **Monkey** seems to have taken the mere discussion of the possibility that some Christians may consider atheists immoral, er, rather personally. I don’t recall anyone accusing him, personally, of feeling that way, at least until he went, well, apeshit. ---

If you are calling someone ‘It’ does the phrase “As it turns out at least a couple of results of Its search turn out to be relevant” require an apostrophe in ‘Its’? (I know that ‘its’ doesn’t require an apostrophe. I am just wondering if the rule changes when ‘It’ happens to be being used as a person’s name) Sorry. Off topic pondering there. ---
