# "Monster Mash" Question

Did Bobby “Boris” Pickett _misunderstand_ the title of a Sherlock Holmes story: _The Hound of The Baskervilles_?

I just re-listened to it and it sounds like he’s singing, “Back-Buyer’s baying hound (s)”?

Surely “Baskerville’s” would have served just as well in that rhyme, yes?

What say _you_, _Cafe Society_?

Actually, he’s saying “Igor on chains, _backed by his_ baying hounds”.

I think Bobby Pickett _really_ put in some good research to make all those words/monsters/actions rhyme correctly. (for want of a better way of putting it!)

By that, I mean he didn’t just _repeat_ stuff over and over (“Mashed Potatoes” comes to mind), but he gave us a “story” a la Ray Stevens, and put it into a _Mash-Dancin’_ kinda rhythm.

That animation was cool and kept the “intent” of the whole song intact.

Just sayin’!
