# Monster Posts: Why Keywords...?

At the bottom of some, most, or maybe all Monster Job Board posts, they list a string of keywords. What is thsi for? I WAG it is if you wish to search for jobs of a similar nature? - Jinx

If they’re words that don’t appear in the body of the posting themselves, they’re usually there so that the listing shows up in searches using those terms. That way they can write normal copy without trying to cram in all the relevant words that the “right” people might be searching on.
