Well, first, it’s the end of February, so this competition has been closed for a month.
But probably what you ran into was that the SDMB doesn’t host photos, although the discourse software has that possibility available.
If you want to add a photo to a post, you will need to find somewhere to host it first. I use flickr and imgur. There are more details in ATMB

Once the current challenge is done, a new one will be announced there.
As Zyada mentioned, the SDMB doesn’t host photos - you need to upload your photo to imgur or flickr or google, etc, and link to it when you submit an entry.
