This is the monthly photo competition thread for **August, 2026**. The topic this month is **“Hot”** chosen by WildaBeast. One entry per person per month. In this thread, please post only your photo and, if you like a brief title. No other text related to your image is permitted. **There should be no discussion of active photos, here or elsewhere, until after the poll closes.** Discussion after the voting concludes, either in this thread or the [rolling discussion thread](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/sdmb-monthly-photo-competition-rolling-discussion-thread/975642), on your own photos or on others’, is encouraged. It is recommended that you not use Imgur to host your photos, as some members may not be able to see your submission. A hosting site that seems to work better is ImgBB. See instructions below. Once the submission deadline has passed, I will post a voting poll **in this thread.** **Submission deadline: Wednesday, August 26, 11:45 pm US Eastern Time.** Good luck! Instructions for using ImgBB on a PC: 1. Open ImgBB site in new tab 2. Click on START UPLOADING 3. Select desired image from my files, click OPEN 4. Back to ImgBB site, click UPLOAD 5. Copy the URL 6. Open new tab and past URL in address bar 7. Right-click on image and click on COPY IMAGE LINK 8.
