😃😃🆒 **I’m coming ! I’m coming!!!** I even called my pseudo-sister… er, I shall call her “Techicolour\_Yawn”, so I have a polace to stay! I’ve missed previous Dopereals because – dammit! – every time I _plan_ ahead to go to Montreal it falls through. This time I totally resisted the urge to say “I’m going”, and lo… I can go! I can go!!! Uh… I don’t know if this messes anything up, but a) I can go! I can go! and b) my pseudo-sister (not of any real biological relation, but Mom\_Crayons and I unofficially adopted Technicolour\_Yawn) is interested in attending Saturday night fiestivities also. _happy dance_ Yaaaaay! I _finally_ get to revisit one of my favourite cities in the world _and_ Dopes are gonna be there _twirling… getting dizzy_ Joy! 😃😃 ---

Alas, I will not be able to make it to this one… **Sunspace\_Dad** is moving at the end of the month, and preparations are taking up my weekends. Howver, in the spring or summer, I will be more free. I really do want to visit Montréal and its Dopers, honest! ---

**Eats\_Crayons** , I’m thrilled. It’s a Sugardope miracle. I’m a little _varklempt._ **JeffB** & **clayton\_e** : please email me ASAP about arrival times, and if the directions to my place I gave were clear. I’d also like to hear from **Eonwe** - you can come by the Pad of Evil® or head right for the hotel meeting place. Reposting the itinerary so far, since I haven’t done anything else to help except post here like a yakking yenta. 😉 **Friday, March 12:** Dinner at St-Hub Resto Bar, 1019 Ste-Catherine East (corner Amherst - metro Berri-UQAM). Reservations @ 8:15 under the name Cecil Adams. After this we’ll most likely head to Club Date (1218 Ste-Catherine East, metro Beaudry) for cheezy karaoke. And then, who knows. The possibilities are endless. **Saturday, March 13 - sugaring off:** Meet outside **JeffB** ’s hotel, the Hyatt on the corner of Ste-Catherine and Jeanne-Mance (metro Place-des-Arts) around 12:30. Around 1 PM we’ll get in cars and head to [cabane à sucre l’Hermine](http://english.montrealplus.ca/portal/profile.do?profileID=451987) from there. Reservation @ 2:30 under name Cecil Adams. We had some pretty good directions last year, if we can dig those up. **Don’t eat breakfast. We will not be shy to ask for seconds.** Now that we’ve been there once before and know the score, we are going to _take over that place and make other parties fear us. **Are we not Dopers?** _ **detop** , can you post the menu and the price? IIRC last year it was $18 per person including the (giggle) “sleigh ride.” They also have interesting home brewed maple beers, for those of you that enjoy an early afternoon drinkie-poo. (I know I used to.) **There is a DJ, but please _do not request the song “YMCA”._ Thank you.** **Saturday, March 13 - dinner:** Pizzédélic in Old Montreal, 39 Notre-Dame west. (Metro Place-d’Armes, take St-Urbain exit, turn right and walk along St-Urbain past St-Antoine. Continue along St-Urbain, which becomes Place-d’Armes, then go left on Notre-Dame. Map of area [here](http://www.stm.info/English/metro/images/c13.gif). In any case, it’s on Notre-Dame just east of St-Laurent.) Reservations @ 9 PM under name Cecil Adams. Pizzédélic serves square, so-called “gourmet” pizzas and other light fare. After dinner, we’ll go carousing or whatever. **Sunday, March 14:** St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Green beer, green puke. Green everything. Get green stuff at any one of many Dollarama locations. **detop** can post a meeting time & place. There will be food at some point. Out-of-town people: take the metro everywhere for city activities. Strip of six tickets is $11. Three-day tourist pass is $16.00. The tourist passes are generally only sold in downtown metro stations, although surly ticket takers will sometimes deny their existence. ---

I’ll be heading towards Montreal right after work, which will probably bring me in to town way too late for Dope festivities, so my doping will have to start on Saturday. That’s cool though, it’ll give me late Firday night to catch up with Technicolor\_Yawn – we haven’t seen each other in about three years! 😃😃😃 Sugardope! 😃😃😃 ---

I’m probably out for the Sunday activities. Parades really aren’t my thing [sup]\*[/sup], especially when just about everyone in attendance is drunk. (No offense.) **Eonwe** : come Friday. Small boo-boo in the itinerary I posted: Pizzédélic is on Notre-Dame just _west_ of St-Laurent. :smack: I will quite possibly be arriving a bit late at St-Hub on Friday, depending on when **clayton\_e** arrives at the Pad of Evil®. Save us seats. I don’t know if my other half will be coming or if he’s made plans. (He’s a real social butterfly, believe it or not.) **Eats\_Crayons** : you should get **LaurAnge** ’s cell phone number in case you want to join us Friday after all. We might get bored of Club Date and move the festivities elsewhere. But in any case, can’t wait to see you Saturday. I’ll email you my home phone # if you need better directions to the hotel where we’re meeting up. ---

Just to add: The 1-day and 3-day metro passes (offering unlimited access to the metro and bus) are only sold at Bonaventure and Berri-UQAM stations during the off-season (i.e. now). ---

It looks like **clayton\_e** and I should be hitting Montreal around 7:00 if everything works according to plan. That should allow Scott to make it on time, I think.
