**Ambushed** , I’ve been out of town for a few days, I don’t hang out in GQ, and the Church of Latter-Day Saints is one of many religions which, while I don’t have a particular grudge against them, I wouldn’t join. I also don’t know you well enough to have much of an opinion of you either way That said, I’m afraid you’re coming across to me as inarticulate and a bit hysterical. What’s worse, perhaps, you’re coming across as a jerk. I read the link to the GQ thread you posted. You did seem to me to be indicting an entire denomination on the basis of a few individuals. By that measure, no religion has merit, which may well be your belief. If that’s the case, though, there are better ways to go about making your point. Look, impugn my honor or my integrity, and I wil defend myself as vigorously as any one on these boards. I won’t do it so by repeatedly calling you a liar. Instead, I’ll point out what I said, what you said, and how I think you misrepresented me. What you’ve done in this thread is left me with a picture of a small child, red-faced and furious with tears flowing down his or her cheeks. It does produce a bit of sympathy, but it’s gone on long enough now that it’s frustrating and, I’m afraid, reminiscent of a tantrum. Please, for your own sake, deal with it and move on. What you are apparently unaware of is the fact that what Monty and spooje and other liars and fact-evaders have done is asserted as an absolute fact that the statement you quoted above “says” that the very “purpose of the temple recommend interview was for the purpose of gratification” in every instance. _I_ am in the process of “calling” them on that ridiculous lie.
