I saw this commercial the other day. I laughed. (Maybe it’s from watching the Three Stooges in my youth.) I think what made it funny is that it’s so abrupt, so unexpected. And that moose head is so incongruous; how many people have such a thing in their living rooms?

What I found weird is that the commercial soundtrack sounds like a country ‘n’ western song, which doesn’t quite fit with the product’s “Indian chief” trademark. What’s up with that? (Yeah, when I hear Waylon Jennings or Hank Williams sing, I think of Geronimo…)

If only we had elected Bob Dole as President, we wouldn’t have had to put up with him in commercials. Would that really have been so bad? 😉

I forget the name of the product, but does anyone know the one of the diet pill, fat-buster, that you take before meals? And the fast-talking disclaimer at end that mentions side-effects of unexpected flatulance and the runs?  
I mean, I think my girlfriend would prefer me a little overweight than make such displays in the restaurant!
