# More filming in the city tomorrow. Various roads are closed tomorrow (Saturday) in the CBD because of “filming”. No doubt there’ll be the usual traffic chaos. I wonder if it’s the same Superman flick that was being filmed [in April?](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=311074&highlight=hollywood+superman) ---

I remember one weekend when they shut down a few square blocks in the center of Sydney to film some of the outdoor scenes in the first Matrix movie. It was a pain in the ass. I didn’t realize that the new Superman movie was being filmed there. ---

They’ve been filming at least three movies around San Francisco recently. _Rent_ was one- My friend was passing by our old high school on his way to culinary school, and tried to cut across the parking lot of a beautiful old church, but was blocked by a film crew with Jesse L Martin, Rosario Dawson, and a few others. [Zodiac](http://imdb.com/title/tt0443706) is another (though the crew guy I asked said is was called _Chronicles_. I was taking a drive around Treasure Island (which is used a lot for filming, including a big chunk of _The Matrix_) and came across a parking lot full of old cars, including 70s-era SFPD cars and trucks of local TV stations and newspapers. I saw the same thing, including a few old MUNI buses a month or two ago when I was driving up Mission, not too far from Daly City. [The Pursuit of Happyness](http://imdb.com/title/tt0454921/) starring Will Smith is also being filmed here, though I haven’t seen anything related. Though I have seen a few street closures in Noe Valley, Western Addition, and Lower Haight in recent months, and those could’ve been related to any of these three movies.
