I won’t say it’s not funny. After all we have a whole genre [Whatever]'s Funniest Videos. But a joke, to me, is a story told for amusement. There’s no story there beyond perhaps, “Hold my beer and watch this.” ---

A thirdhand quote, funny enough to count as a joke I think: `Brandon Sanderson detailed a "Bad Story Idea" that started with the premise of people pretending to choke so Vader wouldn't kill them for real. But then one day an officer who didn't get the memo freaks out, quick draws, and shoots Vader. So the entire OT is recontextualized, because Vader is actually just a suit remote controlled by a team working behind the scenes so no one learns Vader is dead. Called the whole scenario "Weekend at Vader's" and discussed how this would change the significance of certain lines. Like "altering the deal" with Lando was just because the guy operating Vader's voice forgot what the previous guy had agreed to, and was trying to cover the mistake.` ---

That’s really _bomb_!” He was taken to a back room for a loooong conversation with airport security. And this was well before 9/11, when security was not exactly on high alert.
