Good luck to your sister and partner and especially the daughter who screwed up. May she be with the program now, stay in school, and do well with what she learns.

Exactly right. My sister’s daughters/stepdaughters/the children she raised as a lesbian and later as a single mother all turned out okay.

The babies biological father is currently in prison for the attempted murder of another one of his baby’s mothers. Yeah, these children really need him around.

ETA: Thanks to everyone for their well wishes and praises. As I tell people: Maybe children do better with a mother and father, but the foster care system is a nightmare I wouldn’t force on a dog.
