It’s twice the budget of some entire federal government departments. NASA for instance, is just over half that amount.

$25 billion? Drop in the bucket. Bush wants [$245 billion](http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16944672/) for Iraq and Afganistan over the next two years, on top of the $70 billion already appropriated for 2007.

Meanwhile, a Republican whines about the cost of the 9/11 Commission recommendations (from [here](http://edition.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/02/02/Security.costs/index.html)):
