Laughing smiley? Isn’t 😃 good enough for you? (;)) Generally speaking, I’m not a big fan of masses of different smilies–and I detest animated smilies–but thumbs-up and thumbs-down seem fairly benign. (speaking just as a member, not as a moderator) ---

Personally, I’d prefer to have a few more smilies, but for the most part, just the ASCII smilies can usually convey whatever’s necessary. ---

I agree with Lynn that there will always be this dispute. I’m not a big fan of them but they do come in handy when being sacastic or joking as they convey intent that black and white words don’t. What I don’t understand is, if you are going to have them at all why **not** add more? ---
