And to the OP… no, I don’t think the LDS Church Office Building is particularly phallus shaped. And I really don’t think it was intended to be either. ---

So why does archetypical legislative seat of government building resemble a giant breast? Or, has society weaned itself off one structure shape in the last century only to fixate on another? I’ll go along with “Sometimes a building is just a building.” ---

I’ve seen it in real life. The Mormon business office building isn’t phallic at all. Not even a little. Look, if you want Mormon phallic symbols go visit [Brigham’s Unit](http://wildernessvagabond.com/bikeutah09/wutbike09-day5-kb3.jpg). It’s in Southern Utah somewhere, probably Canyonlands. 😃 ---

The building in the OP doesn’t look phallic at all to me, not even in the general way in which most skyscrapers do. It’s far too wide for its height. ---

Legend has it, of course, that the Grand Teton range was named after breasts (or perhaps nipples) by French explorers. Having seen these mountains, I can only conclude that said explorers were **very** lonely, and had not seen the female form in a iong, long time. 😃 ---
