If anyone were to pull a Hamersmith and City reversal right now, it would make an interesting retort to Forbes Mchepherstones somewhat controversial claim in last months Journal of the Malacca Straits Mornington Crescent Society. The well read scholar will know that to which I am refering. Might cause Scuba some issues with his tokens. ---

Hmm. I think if lynne keeps on playing Paddington, bad things will happen. I’m not exactly sure what things, or how to prevent this outcome. However, attack is often the best form of defence, so: **Paddington**. ---

By trying to prevent large gains, you play so conservatively that you permit incremental steady gains, viz. **Bow Road.** Hammersmith & City line plays eastbound are encumbered. ---

Hmm. HMMMMMMM. Well it seems we’ve moved into the Frankforshire Crosstown Gambit. Well that means: **Heathrow 1,2,3** And before all you purists get all up in arms, The play is perfectly legal according to the 1846 annotations to the modified code. Albeit the real ruling is handwritten in the margins, but it’s officially binding nonetheless. ---

Well, I think I can safely continue my terminus play with **Edgware**. I feel I should, in the spirit of fair play, point out that although Paddington is not a terminus on the London Underground (even though it is sometimes necessary to change there when you may not expect that to be the case), it is of course a terminus on the National Rail network. Before **ianzin** returns to claim that this is irrelevant, I refer you all to a landmark decision by the IMCARB (International Mornington Crescent Association Rules Board) that was released only last month, stating that in the event of the prospect of strike action, the status of National Rail stations does come into play, though of course a station that is a National Rail station and not an Underground station may not be played itself. The reference, if anyone wishes to check this, is BAA/CD/43RT\*#12/BBB/4/c. ---

Well played, **Bricker** and **Wargamer**! My Grandfather would probably have played **Rotherhithe** here, but it’s now an Overground station, and his notes don’t cover Line Conversion at all. Line Extension, yes, Line Cutback, even Rolling Stock Conversion, but not Line Conversion. Odd, considering that he wrote the notes in the 1950’s and it wasn’t that much earlier that the events of 1933 had taken place. :: drags a heavy volume from the shelf :: :: pages through :: Good thing this is the Abridged edition… most of the other stuff is still packed. Let’s see… Ah! :: scribbles some notes :: :: pauses over a page :: **Edgware Road**. ---
