'Nother Yank here. Tower Gateway leads to **West Ham** blocking Zone 2 and leaving us stuck on the District (unless of course you’re allowing Appendix 7 in which case, it’s probably a bad move, but then, I’ve never been strong in A7 play). ---

By the book, Wimbledon Park would be the proper counter move. But the District line is still blocked. So I play **North Ealing**. ---

That makes things difficult. Wimbledon Park I know how to handle, but coming at it from North Ealing puts a different twist on things. Nevertheless, if I declare Harfort’s Restriction, I can slide over to **White City**. I believe I do take a small penalty for invoking a restrictor clause on an off round, but I am fairly confident the proximity advantage will more than make up for it. ---

Trying for Zabrosky’s Stalemate? Weak play. In a case like this, I find the classic play to be the best so (taking advantage of the Lewis Codicil (Modified 2nd Ed)): **Surrey Quays** and we’re back South of the River so watch it. ---

Dear Lord, will this ever end? I do hope we’re not going to end up repeating the Setter-Biscombe-Huffer scenario - running an infinite alternate loop on the Circle and Central (Chigwell loop) lines - admittedly there were brave forays and straddles out to Finsbury park and Finchley Road, but even so, the game only ended when Giles Biscombe threw himself across the rails at South Kensington; leaving Norman Setter and Karl Huffer to clash at Notting Hill Gate over the dubious victory by default (Huffer backed down in the face of a last-minute Double-Platform Thrust which Setter pulled out of the hat at Paddington). **Hanger Lane** - in the hope of ending this insanity. ---

Think fast… think fast… **Hammersmith** makes a banded hatch escape possible, if anyone is brave enough to try it, but Picadilly line is pretty much sudden death, so watch out. ---
